Laminate flooring can offer a similar beauty that hardwood flooring does, but at a much lower cost. Unlike most wood floors, laminate is very scratch resistant as well as resistant to the sunlight.
The installation process of laminate flooring is much more simple. It is simply applied over the top of an existing floor, often called ‘floats’. Since it isn’t attached or adhered to the foundation, no gluing, nailing, or stapling has to take place.
As laminate floor isn’t real wood, you don’t have to worry about it receiving too much moister, and as a result works well in bathrooms.
